Auditions for New World Theatre Project – 2011

Posted by Crout On February - 23 - 2011

The New World Theatre Project will be holding auditions for its 2011 summer season on Saturday, March 19, 2011.

The summer season is scheduled to run through July and August, operating between St. John’s and Cupids. The New World Theatre Project will produce classical work for professional artists, providing unique ensemble work for those artists and a unique cultural experience for its audience. The mainstage performance space for the Project is The Indeavour Stage, an interpretation of an open air Elizabethan playhouse located in Cupids. This season’s major production is William Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Part 1.

If you would like to apply to be a member of the 2011 artistic company, please send a resume and headshot to:

nwtpad@gmail.com

Those selected for an audition will be asked to prepare two contrasting classical monologues, each being no longer than 2 minutes in length.

The New World Theatre Project is also looking for interested stage managers and artists with significant musical and/or live sound design experience.

All submissions must be received by Friday, March 4, 2011 @ 5pm.

About Me

Henry Crout, one of John Guy\'s Colonists is the avatar for Cupids Cove Chatter. The hand represents his journal writing. Although a number of people including John Guy and Sir Percival Willoughby recorded information about the first English colony in Canada, Henry Crout recorded what was happening on the ground. We hope this blog will introduce and describe events from an - on the ground - perspective. We hope to have guest bloggers who will add their descriptions and opinions.
